标题: Default localhost (127.0.0.1)
I am reviewing the demo web SDK again.  from the web browser http://mytestserver.com:8081/Demo/Video.html
I cannot use the server IP or server domain name?  Why it only accepts "localhost".  If we have our own webserver that our client access to view files and install beso software on a separate server, my url link will not work.  Again. There two servers, my web server and beso video server.

How to solve this issue?

Thank you
I don't think you get what we're trying to do.  Our web management server and the BESO server are separate server.

Hello as I remember it differs between o c x mode and HTTP mode.
author: jiwang    time: 2019-3-23 11:21
Thanks for replying but it does not answer the question.  OCX is old. Also, we have to support more than just one browser and IE is a crappy browser

hello, ocx or http mode, needs a process talk with beso server. Dfferent is which side is it running, broswer or server side.
Ocx mode means the process run on browser side,  if you want  to login  a server, you should input real ip address. Http mode the process is run on the server side,  now it can login server side beso server ONLY.  Http mode you need not input any server ip info, 127.0.0.1 is fine,  it will login server side beso server correctly.

Hello, new approach is done.  an HTML5 based solution is ready for chrome and other brothers.
author: jiwang    time: 2019-3-23 19:39
Great that it is done.  When can we get access to the new approach HTML5?
author: besovideo    time: 2019-3-25 10:51
will release soon, but not free.
may contact the sales guy.

While we wait for the HTML5, we still have to work with what we have.  We need to get to market and most new releases always have bugs and most likely not completed.  I just need to confirm.  You are saying we should leave the default "127.0.0.1 or localhost" even though our web camera management platform is running on a separate server and BESO server is running on a separate server.  We don't have to enter the BESO server IP address.

Thanks

well, yes, you may setup your own local smarteye server, it works.

author: jiwang    time: 2019-3-27 00:25
It does not work.  I've added another image to the original post.  Again, there are two servers.  Our management server and BESO video server.
author: besovideo    time: 2019-3-27 08:39
for that OCX mode, it's not integration on server side, but on browser side by JS .

author: jiwang    time: 2019-3-29 00:10
Again, we cannot install OCX because the client does not use IE.  My friend said may be i am not understanding your english translation.  Could you please answer in Chinese and I'll ask him to translate? OR may be we have to wait for the HTML5 version?

Thank you

Thank you for your help! I have another question about the correctness of the web gps information. When I try to get the camera gps info using none ocx Chrome, it gives me some weird gps data that does not look like the info that I got from Smarteye monitor software. Is there any thing that I can do to get GPS data using the web api correctly? Thank you. Attached are pictures about GPS info from the web api and smarteye monitor.
